Y Cross Cas-lai
Bar manager of the Good-Beer-Guide-listed Y Cross, Hayscastle Cross, has started a Real Ale Tasting Society (RATS), an initiative CAMRA, not surprisingly, wholeheartedly supports. This meets on the first Thursday of the month, to try an interesting selection of ales laid on by Shawn. In November our Branch will be joining them. Ales from the Otley Brewpub, Trefforest, near Pontypridd will be on offer. Come and taste them!

- December branch meeting
Friday 12 December 2025 13:00
Old Coach House, Fishguard
The Old Coach House is at 10 High Street, Fishguard, SA65 9AR Our December Branch Meeting is also our Annual General Meeting, when we elect our Branch Officers for the coming year. As we have done for many years, we also offer a Christmas meal, although members can just attend the AGM and not eat if they prefer. Conversely, members can bring their partners or another guest to the meal, but if they are not members they cannot take part in the AGM. The menu and prices for the Meal should be available at the November meeting, and will also be in the next issue of this Newsletter. The Old Crown is a new venue for us. A pin of a notable local real ale should be available for us to enjoy as well as the two real ales this pub regularly has on tap. Nominations for officers, who must be paid-up Branch members proposed and seconded by paid-up Branch members, are welcome This can happen at the AGM if it has not before. All our existing officers are willing to accept nomination for re-election, except that Nigel Skipper wants to stand down as Vice-Chair, but new faces would be welcome. All attendees need to bring their CAMRA Membership Cards, without which they cannot vote at the AGM. Getting there: T5 leaves Haverfordwest Bus Station at 12.09 p.m., and Letterston at 12.28, arriving Fishguard at 12.48 p.m. The pub is a short walk away. Going back, T5’s leave Fishguard at 7 minutes past the hour.
